Did you know that Village Meeting Day is this coming Tuesday, March 17th?! Voting is open to all registered voters who are residents of the Village.
From 7AM-7PM, you can vote by Australian Ballot for the Board of Trustees. There are two open seats and two residents running. To see the ballot, you can go here (https://www.townofwoodstock.org/fileadmin/files/Boards_and_Committees/Finance_Committee/Village_Ballot_2026.pdf).
At 7:30PM, upstairs at Town Hall, in person Village Meeting will start with floor votes for, among other things, Village Moderator, Trustee of Public Funds, Village Clerk, Village Treasurer, and the FY27 Village budget. If you are interested in any of those positions, please attend the meeting. Since we are all about community here, before Village Meeting starts on the 17th, the Village Trustees are hosting a small community gathering at Town Hall. Starting at 6:30PM, they will be providing food and drinks. It is a great opportunity to catch up with your neighbors and elected officials before the on-floor voting starts.
Immediately after Village Meeting ends, the Trustees will hold their annual re-org meeting to elect a new Chair and Vice Chair of the board. They will also make appointments for the Tree Warden position and Village Development Review Board. They will also discuss food trucks being allowed in the Village again this year, so if you have an opinion, please stay for this meeting as well.
Finally, I will be holding two public forums before Village Meeting day. The first one will be this Friday at 9am at Dreamscape. And the other one will be Monday morning at 9am at Mon Vert. Hope to see you there!
