Community Organizations

  • The HUB: A community-funded safety net providing direct, confidential financial support for local residents struggling with rent, childcare, heating, and transportation.
  • Woodstock Community Food Shelf: Located at 217 Maxham Meadow Way, this organization provides basic nutrition. It is open Mondays (4–6 PM), Wednesdays (1–3 PM), and Saturdays (10 AM–noon).
  • Change the World Kids: A teen-led, 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to food justice, growing fresh produce for the Food Shelf, and assisting elderly residents with snow shoveling and wood stacking.
  • Sustainable Woodstock: Focuses on local ecology, green living, and community gardens. They run two organic, no-till gardens at Billings Farm and King Farm that donate hundreds of pounds of produce annually to the Food Shelf. [1]
  • Woodstock Community Trust Projects: Manages local ecological and recreational spaces, including the Ottauquechee River Trail and the Friends of East End Park.
  • The Community Campus: A local nonprofit offering creative, interactive enrichment programs for students and families year-round.
  • Pride of Woodstock, Vermont: An organization under the Community Trust dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and promoting diversity and inclusivity in town.
  • Woodstock Area Nonprofit Network (NPN): A local coalition formed by town leaders to coordinate volunteers, fundraising, and communication across regional non-profits.
