To Those on Town Water and/or Sewer:

Members of the water department have begun doing meter readings so that we may produce another round of utility bills. We are hoping to get the bills in the mail by the end of March. These bills will include both sewer and water expenses.

If a blue card is left for you, this means that we were unable to read your outside meter and will need a reading from the meter inside your house. Please follow up if you receive a blue card as this information is very important, as it is how we will set the water rates. There are a few options for blue card follow up, you can:

  • fill out the blue card and return it to us
  • take a picture of the meter and email it to awohler@ townofwoodstock.org
  • call (802) 457-3456 x1 to schedule a time for the water company to come back to read your indoor meter

As the water system is a new acquisition for the town, it has taken us some time to set up accounts and establish procedures. Thus, we experienced some delays in billing. As a result, these bills will be a bit higher than bills of the past. The Aqueduct billed every three months, whereas this upcoming bill will cover a nine-month period. With a longer billing period comes higher usage, which unfortunately means a higher bill. If you are unable to pay the bill in full, please reach out to Ashley at the phone number below to discuss payment plan options.

Moving forward, water and sewer will be billed together on a single utility bill. The town is currently working to determine a billing cycle that will work in the best interest of water and sewer users. Our goal is to space out the big bills (property taxes and utilities) to ease financial burden.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Ashley at awohler@ townofwoodstock.org or (802) 457-3456 x1.
