The Woodstock Town Selectboard and Village Board of Trustees, in keeping with their joint goals and objectives, are pleased to announce the formation of the Town-Village Analysis Study Committee, a new advisory task force charged with evaluating potential governance options for the Woodstock community.

Members of this committee will play a vital role in examining the financial, legal, and operational implications of both consolidating the municipal bodies and maintaining the current governance structure. Through thoughtful analysis and research, the committee will develop objective findings that outline opportunities, challenges, and tradeoffs associated with each option. These findings, on the current state of governance and what improvements could be made, will ultimately be presented to the Selectboard and Trustees for their consideration.

If you are interested in helping shape Woodstock’s future, enjoy analyzing complex policy issues, and bring unique expertise, we encourage you to apply. We are looking for five to seven community members with varied professional capabilities, as well as liaisons from other municipal boards. For more information about the committee, please call (802) 457-3456.

This is a Five (5) to Seven (7) person Board
