Property taxes are due on or before May 1, 2026.

There are four ways to pay:

  • Mail a check to Town of Woodstock, PO Box 488, Woodstock, VT 05091
    • Please write parcel number on check.
    • We do not accept postmarks, so any payment received after 4:30PM on May 1 will be considered late thus accruing interest and penalties.
  • By check at the finance office, 31 The Green, Second Floor.
    • Please bring a copy of your bill when paying by check.
    • The office is open 8:00AM – 4:30PM, Monday-Friday.
  • Direct debit-automatic payments to be taken from your bank account.
    • Call the phone number below to inquire about this option.
  • Pay online at : https://payments.municipay.com/5a255f8a0468bb04b6920173622abd2e/search/5a25610a0468bb04b692017362329fc5
    • E-Check payment has a flat service fee of $1.50.
    • Credit or debit card payments have a processing fee of roughly 3%.

Property tax bills get sent out once per year, in September. We do not send another copy in the spring. If you have misplaced yours, our Finance Department would be happy to provide another copy (contact information below).

Any payments received after 4:30PM on May 1 will be assessed interest and penalties. Interest will accrue at a rate of 1% per month for the first three months and 1.5% per month thereafter. The penalty is a one time fee at a rate of 8%.

The Town of Woodstock does not accept postmarks. Any payment received after 4:30PM on May 1, regardless of mailing date, will be assessed interest and penalties.
