The water department will begin hydrant flushing on Tuesday April 7, 2026. Flushing will continue throughout the week, possibly carrying into the following week.
The hydrant flushing is preformed annually for routine maintenance.
What this means for you:
You may experience low water pressure or water discoloration.
For discoloration, you should run cold water through the tub or a sink without a filter.
Water pressure will rise and fall throughout the process. If it becomes low, simply waiting for it to pick back up again is the best solution.
