This afternoon, a truck overturned on Route 12 near Billings Farm and is currently on the creek bank. State and Town emergency personnel are on scene and responding to the incident. Out of an abundance of caution, and as we await any updates from Vermont’s Agency of Natural Resources, we advise the public to avoid any activity in the Ottauquechee River from the Elm Street bridge easterly until further notice. Additional updates will be provided, via the Town’s website, the Police Department’s Facebook Page, and Front Porch Forum, as more information becomes available.
