In the event that the hearing is not complete by 5pm, it will resume at 9am on March 3rd at the same location.
This is not a standard public meeting of the Board of Trustees. This is an employment hearing which is usually conducted in a closed executive session. In accordance with Vermont law, an employee may request the hearing be publicly held. Mr. Swanson has made this request. Members of the public may attend and watch the proceedings but may not participate in any way. There will be no opportunity for public questions or comments.
The hearing will be streamed and recorded via Zoom by the Village of Woodstock in partnership with Woodstock Community Television (WCTV).

At the completion of the hearing, the Trustees will begin deliberations and will issue a written decision within two weeks to the legal representatives of Chief Swanson and to the Village of Woodstock. In accordance with municipal policy, the decision will not be made available to the public. Chief Swanson may share the decision if he chooses as it is part of his personnel record.
