Public Records, Etc.
In general, you will find answers to all of your questions about
licenses, public records documents, election laws, and in fact,
all of the Vermont Statutes annotated on the Secretary of State's
website at www.sec.state.vt.us.
This website is easy to use and will guide you to different sections
or topics of information.
Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates for events
that occurred in Woodstock are archived here. Certified copies
are available for a fee of $10.00 each. Call, write or visit the
office.
Dog Licenses are issued by the Town Clerk for every dog in Woodstock,
every year between January 1 and March 31 (a late penalty applies
after that, and license is still required). Bring each dog's
current "Certificate of Rabies Vaccination" to the Town Clerk's
office.
Register to Vote at the Town Clerk's office
by filling out a short form at least two weeks before the election.
Marriage Licenses are issued by the Town Clerk.

How to Run for Elected Office Woodstock citizens
vote for elected officers by Australian Ballot. Candidates for
office are nominated by petition. Contact the Town Clerk for information
on required signatures and petition deadlines if you are interested
in running for office. The document "Running for Local Office"
