Welcome to the Town and Village of Woodstock, Vermont

SEPTIC PERMITS

Effective July 1, 2007, permits for all septic systems, new and replacement, are issued by the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation, Wastewater Management District.

The Environmental Assistance Office provides permit assistance through Permit Specialists located in the Agency of Natural Resources' (ANR) five regional offices. The Permit Specialist’s primary job duty is to serve as the initial state contact for applicants and assist them in identifying all necessary state permits or approvals for any given project.

Terry Shearer is our Regional Permit Specialist.  He is located at the Springfield Regional Office and may be reached at 802-885-8849 or you may e.mail him at terry.shearer@state.vt.us.

Applications requiring state septic permits will not hold up the zoning permit, but one cannot commence construction until the Planning & Zoning Office has received the state septic permit.

The Municipal Offices are located in The Town Hall at 31 The Green.
