The Municipal Manager position is non-political, and as such, must be filled based upon the qualifications of the applicant and without reference to his or her political beliefs. The Municipal Manager is appointed by and is directly responsible to the Select Board and the Board of Village Trustees. The Municipal Manager has the responsibility to hire and dismiss staff. The Municipal Manager plans, organizes, coordinates and administers the daily functions of the Woodstock municipal government. In addition, the Municipal Manager does not have to be a resident of the town for which he is appointed. |
